KVS Foundation Day 2024

Every year on December 15, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Foundation Day is observed. However, because of the Sunday, this year's celebration took place on December 14, 2024, rather than December 15, 2024. The theme for the 62nd Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Foundation Day in 2024 is "Honour the past while creating the future". A range of events are held to commemorate the KVS Foundation Day, such as dance, quizzes, drama, songs, and pledge-taking.

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, oversees the KVS school system. With 1,253 schools in India and three outside, it is among the biggest educational networks in the world. Every year on December 15, KVS Foundation Day is observed. "The End of Education is Character" is the motto of KVS. "We, the members of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, solemnly pledge to work selflessly towards making India a strong and prosperous nation," is the KVS Foundation Day pledge.

Typically, students are in charge of planning the events and making the necessary accommodations. Some schools could organize competitions every day for the entire week leading up to the foundation day. In India and other nations, the KVS is a system of central government schools. Originally known as Central Schools, it was founded in 1963 under the Ministry of Education. Later on, the name was modified to Kendriya Vidyalaya. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has an affiliation with the KVS, which is a non-profit organization.

Happy National Education Day 2024
