Happy National Librarian’s Day 2025: Celebrating the Keepers of Knowledge
Every year, 12th August is observed as National Librarian’s Day in India to honor the contributions of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan (1892–1972), the “Father of Library Science in India.” His vision, innovative ideas, and dedication transformed libraries into centers of learning, research, and community development.
In 2025, National Librarian’s Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, 12th August. On this day, librarians, students, educators, and knowledge seekers come together to acknowledge the vital role of libraries and librarians in building an informed and educated society.
