India observes Teacher's Day on September 5th of each year to honor the priceless contributions that educators make to society. In addition, this day honors Dr. Sarpalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and a renowned scholar who supported education and suggested that his birthday be observed as Teachers' Day.
After Dr. Radhakrishnan's proposal was enthusiastically embraced by his students, September 5th is now observed annually in India as Teachers' Day. This is an important day for both students and teachers since it gives them a chance to thank their teachers for their commitment and gives teachers a chance to be recognized for their hard work.
